Meet Head Coach Charlie Miller

From a Milk-Crate Hoop to the Pros

Growing up in South Miami, Charlie never dreamed he'd play professional basketball. What followed is a story of relentless practice, calculated risk, and a life built around developing players — and people.

The Beginning

A Practice-First Journey

In middle school, Charlie was an awkward, skinny boy who swore baseball was his sport. When he was asked to play in a recreational basketball game because he was so tall, he gave it a try — and stunk it up. But something clicked. He knew he wanted to master the sport.

His middle school coach pushed him to practice with the high school team. He was terrified the first day — everyone laughed at him. But he stuck with it, and it made him quicker and more confident.

He had no hoop and no gym membership, so he cut the bottom out of a milk crate and nailed it to a tree — that was his hoop. Hours of dribbling drills and defensive work at the local park turned him into one of the best players in the country.

“PRACTICE is what allowed me to master my sport and achieve my dreams.”

Why Risk Matters

No Risk = No Reward

In 2012, Charlie faced a pivotal choice: stay in a comfortable corporate career, or go all-in on the training company he and his wife had just started — with their first baby on the way. He chose the leap.

Today his wife is the VP of ATTACK, working from home while raising their kids. It's the same lesson ATTACK coaches teach athletes: the biggest risk is taking no risks at all.
